Todo list notes and How-to
[edit]- Sort out the list from Mix'n'match Current progress: 100 % (updated 10 October 2020)
- Click Login, confirm the account
- Click Unmatched. You'll see an item (historic site) per a row. Try to find an existing match of the site on Wikipedias or Wikidata by clicking Google-search Wikipedias | Google-search Wikidata
- If you find the match, click Set Q an insert Wikidata number
- If you don't find an existing match, click "New Item" and new Wikidata item will be created
- More work on Wikidata items through QuickStatements like adding:
- Country
- Listing category
- Address
- Data created
- ...other if applicable
- Create a template for a list item on Wikipedia that would populate the content from Wikidata. Inspiration can be taken from w:Template:HS listed building row (but this template only creates a row within a list, it doesn't actually get populated from Wikidata)
- Create lists on Wikipedia (ideally with a link to "upload an image")
- Partner up with Heritage NZ
- Ask for a rapid grant from WMF for cash prizes
- Form partnership with other relevant institutions
- Create a page on Wikimedia Commons
- Create posters for public spaces (libraries etc.)
...
Ideas
[edit]- Create a special prize for Māori monuments (inspiration taken from Sámi category of Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in Norway)
- Create social media for the competition (mainly Instagram)
