Wiki Loves EuroPride 2023

On the occasion of EuroPride, which will be held this year from September 7 to 17 in Valletta, Wikimedia Community Malta and LGBT+ User Group are organizing an online edit-a-thon in which Wikimedia contributors in Europe and all over the world write and improve articles, Wikidata entries, upload and organize media Commons on topics of LGBTIQ+ terminology, people, organizations, festivals, books, cinematography and other topics that support LGBTIQ+ visibility, emancipation, human rights and (hopefully) make differences.

EuroPride is a pan-European international LGBTIQ+ event that features parades, conferences, cultural and other activities. It was founded in 1992 and has since then been taking place in different cities across Europe annually. Valletta, the capital of Malta, will be the first island city in Mediterranean Europe to host a major event for the pan-European LGBTIQ+ community.

Organizers are also planning online activity and in-person photo-walk in the Pride March.
