Report

Department of Forestry, Sir Syed College, Taliparamba, in collaboration with Wikimedia Foundation, Sahya Digital Conservation Foundation, Wikimedians of Kerala User Group, and Kerala Biodiversity Monitoring Network, organized a Taxonomy Datathon on Thursday, 2 January 2025. The event was part of the 'Wiki Loves Birds India 2024' campaign, aiming to categorize images, enhance metadata, and contribute to Wikipedia. It commenced at 9:30 am at the College IT Centre.

Mr. Manoj Karingamadathil, Mr. Irvin Sabastian, Mr. Ranjith S, and Ms. Sneha C guided the event and provided instructions. A total of 13 participants contributed to the event, which concluded at 5:30 pm.
