From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Overview

[edit]

The WikiWomen Marathon 2025 is a global 48-hour edit-a-thon focused on increasing women-related content across Wikimedia projects. Moving away from traditional month-long edit-a-thons, this event adopts a focused, collaborative, and celebratory approach for Women’s Month. The event will be hybrid, welcoming both in-person and virtual participation. In-person contributors will work in 8-hour shifts, ensuring continuous editing for the full 48 hours.
