Notes (Second Meeting)
[edit]- Grant
- Wikijournal and alignment with Movement Strategy 2030
- AI
- We need to discuss not ‘if’ - but ‘how’ we will work with AI - for example, could the journals become a place that AI generated articles come to get verified and checked? - Jack and Ellen
- Increase citations and relevance
- can we examine the ‘most accessed’ Wikipedia pages, and then analyse areas where there is a dearth of peer-reviewed content
- Re-engaging more board member
- Recommend a survey of all Board members understanding needs and preferences - and use this to help guide some kind of learning and development intervention - I would recommend not yet removing people without a chance to ‘re engage’ or learn why people are inactive - this data would then help with future funding applications e.g.: - Jack
- What would help you be more active? Is there anything else that could be done to help (either Technical Editors or Wiki backend)?
- Any barriers to you getting involved (time, navigating the backend)
- ‘I get lost in the backend of the Wiki Journals sometimes, can we collect data on the user experience of Board members to make a case for budget for improving it?’ - Jack
- Potential to set up a Wiki Journals Signal/ Telegram group for general updates / focused task-based chat? - Jack
