Connections made

[edit]
  • After our session on creating a peer volunteer network for African Wikimedians a lot more Wikimedians reached out to us on the next steps on the way forward for how we would go about this program. Through our session I got into contact with a lot more African Wikimedians who are very interested in our peer volunteer network.

Learning points

[edit]
  • One of the useful learning point for me was about the movement 2030 processes and the gaps in there for African Wikimedians to fill to bring our communities along.

Outcome

[edit]

We are currently working on creating a meta page which is seeking to bring together all African Wikimedians on our proposed peer volunteer network. This would be our first point of contact for every African Wikimedian who is looking at being part of our peer network we are proposing.
