My Input

Presenting a session about the Creative Commons licenses and their significations

WikiIndaba 2019 was my second big African conference after the version of 2018 in Tunis. In fact, it was an opportunity to reconnect with old wikimedian friends and also to create new relationships. In addition to that, I presented a session about the Creative Commons licenses and their significations. Also, I tried to attend as possible as I can the maximum of sessions and meetings.

Connections

I met people who are attending their first Indaba mainly form the Nigerian community, people who used to participate in Indaba and people from outside the Wikimedia movement. The atmosphere was great and favorable for networking.

Outcomes

• We decide during the Francophone meetup to reinforce collaboration between the African Francophone countries.
• I gave my feedback concerning the strategy process of Wikimedia 2030 to liaisons of the strategy process.
• We made a walk in Abuja and we took a several photos of the city.
• As an AffCom member, I tried to check the state of some affiliates and I asked for update.
