WikiIndaba conference 2019/Report/Celestinesucess
After a long wait filled with doubt, I finally made it!. I had the opportunity to attend Wiki Indaba 2019 in Abuja. Wiki Indaba is the annual gathering of Wikimedians from the African continent. This was the fourth WikiIndaba conference but the third I have had the opportunity to attend. As compared to the third which took place in Tunisia, the whole process of acquiring the needed documents and applying for a visa was less stressful for me, since I did not need a visa to travel to Nigeria. However, the flight from Nigeria to Accra wasn't a pleasant one. We went by Africa World Airlines. And for the first time, I experienced a flight delay for almost two hours. To compensate as for the long wait, we were given some snacks, which wasn't sufficient to fill my hungry stomach.
When we finally made it to Nigeria, we were met by two of the organising team members at the airport. With a shuttle, we were transported to Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja , the capital of Nigeria, and there we stared for rest of the conference days.

[edit]- The hotel facilities weren't so great. For instance the internet connectivity was not stable. The bathroom towels were not changed often as needed.
