Description
[edit]Please add description of the request, with all the necessary details. The Hausa Community is seeking support to organize a local Wiki Indaba event in our community. This event will provide an opportunity for Hausa-speaking contributors to come together, share knowledge, and collaborate on ways to promote the use of Wikimedia projects in the Hausa language.
The Wiki Indaba event in our community will include workshops, training sessions, and discussions on topics such as editing techniques, content creation, and community engagement. We also plan to invite experienced Wikimedians to facilitate sessions and provide guidance to participants. Additionally, we aim to reach out to schools, universities, and other institutions to encourage participation from a diverse range of contributors.
By organizing this local Wiki Indaba event, we hope to create a platform for Hausa-speaking contributors to connect, learn from each other, and work together to improve the quality and quantity of content available in the Hausa language on Wikimedia projects. We believe that this event will help to build a stronger and more vibrant Hausa community within the Wikimedia movement. Your support will enable us to create a successful and impactful Wiki Indaba event in our community, and we look forward to sharing the outcomes and learnings with the wider Wikimedia community.

Jury decision
[edit]Dear Mahuta and colleagues from Hausa community,
We are sincerely grateful for the time and effort you have invested in the micro-grant application for WikiIndaba 2024. Your interest in contributing to this event is greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, we have to inform you that your application for the micro-grant has not been successful. The fact that we received an impressive number of quality applications and the constraint of funding only five applications, as we had indicated in the call for applications, made the decision-making process extremely difficult. Given these constraints, the team decided to award grants only to under-represented communities or groups.
Although your application was not selected, we greatly appreciate your interest in WikiIndaba 2024. To stay engaged and follow all the latest updates, we invite you to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and instagram. In addition, we encourage you to subscribe to our YouTube channel, where we will be sharing conference highlights and key sessions. We also suggest that you contact the members of your group who will be attending the conference, so that they can share their experiences and learning with you.
Yours sincerely
Scholarship Team, WikiIndaba 2024 Conference. --VALENTIN NVJ (talk) 15:56, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
