Abstract: For many communities, the emphasis on content generation and resulting evidence of quantitative metrics means that community members who are not inclined to editing are likely to go unnoticed and their potential unexplored. A failure to involve them or suggest opportunities that offer responsibility for their interests, influence and skills may lead to apathy and eventually leaving the community. How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region? The talk seeks to Debunk the notion that editing is the only meaningful contribution to Wikimedia projects; Acknowledge the diversity of community members and the benefits they can bring ; With relevant examples, challenge participants to get to know their community members better and explore ways in which non-editing members can contribute their expertise or leverage their positions for the good of the community ; Challenge participants to align themselves with strategic allies;
