WikiGap is an initiative taken to close the gender gap and other diversity gaps on Wikipedia.
The initiative is made possible by a cooperation between Embassy of Sweden in Nigeria, African Women in the Media ( AWIM) and Wikimedia Nigeria. The Challenge is the Nigerian version organized as part of the global WikiGap campaign.
The WikiGap Nigeria Online Challenge is an attempt to create more Wikipedia contents for Nigerian women. As a major concern on the spread of COVID19 in Nigeria, we will also host an online training for the introduction of Wikipedia to interested Nigerians who are interested in contributing to Wikipedia.
The Challenge takes place from 8 March through 31 March 2021.
