Abstract (in about 300 words)

The talk would be a study report on SDN inspired by already published articles. I would like to present the issues in traditional networking, basic idea of SDN, how SDN can resolve the issues of existing networks, researches done on SDN at world level and can we integrate SDN into existing networks. I would like to discuss all the above said aspects on the basis of researches and papers published by pioneers of this field.

Software Defined Networking (SDN) is the result of innovative efforts by Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley. SDN is an idea to make our existing networks easily manageable and more flexible. The traditional networking is more complex and rigid due to tight coupling between Control plane and Data plane. The basic concept of SDN is to introduce software programming to various services provided be networks.SDN introduces an abstraction between the Control plane and Data plane with the use of a software.
