Semantic MediaWiki(SMW) is an extension built to bring in ideas of the Semantic Web into Mediawiki, the software that powers Wikipedia and other affiliated projects. In this presentation we will look at a brief introduction on implemnting SMW as well as some interesting uses we can put it to, relevant to the Indian context. The presentation can be followed by a brief Q&A, and to the work Google has been sponsoring in the development of SMW.
