<Purpose of Presentation:To ignite great minds, to bring to the attention of Wiki-medians, Keep working hard, world is moving with unbelievable speed. Subject: Expanding horizon of knowledge. This presentation will be a mix of empirical and doctrinal research on the issue of "speed with which knowledge is being accumulated/added today and necessity of being pro-active than good recipient of knowledge. This paper shall include following sections for discussion: Internet as knowledge bank, Internet usage and purposes, Need for more specific, reliable as well as detailed information. Information as backbone of knowledge and wisdom, role of sources/sites like Wikipedia in this era of knowledge. Internet as a knowledge bank: Bank secures our deposits and returns with interest as and when we need. same is the responsibility of the Internet, to keep the information stored and uploaded as a repository and return with enhancements/interest to the seeker as and when demanded, any damage or loss to the property is not thought of. to some extend internet seems to be world bank of knowledge but it has its limitations like, no or minimum authenticity check, delayed updating/modification, accumulation of wastage, etc. Internet usage and purposes People use internet for everything, yes virtually for the things it has little or no application too. We are skip such areas, mostly either it is entertainment, information, communication or business. With different uses comes different priorities of the users, like one who is just surfing for entertainment is not much concern about authenticity but the easy access and user friendliness are his priorities. Thus research is much needed on all aspects of information and knowledge in the changing time.Researcher is of firm view that such a study will bring on surface some strange facts and solutions.>
