Wiki Loves Food 2021 In India

Proposed activities I would like to lodge a proposal of holding a month long (1st March to 31st March 2021) photo competition entitled Wiki Loves Food 2021 In India under the patronage of West Bengal Wikimedians User Group. The competition shall be oriented on different types of Indian Food and Beverages. Wiki Loves Food 2021 In India is a public photo competition platforming Wikimedia Commons for the usage on Wikipedia and the other sister project. The said competition shall aim at developing and improving the quality and quantity of pictures of various Indian Subcontinent cuisines and thus highlighting and celebrating the profusion, diversity and ethnicity of Indian cuisines.

This photo competition further aims at highlighting the traditional as well as the less renowned local food items and thus to throw ample light on the profundity and diversity of Indian Cuisines.

Making charge of Promotional Video 2,000 INR

Making charge of Facebook banner and e-certificate 2,000 INR

For Facebook promotion 5,000 INR

The Gift voucher may be distributed as follows:

1st Prize ( 6,000 INR ) worth Gift voucher

2nd Prize ( 5,000 INR ) worth Gift voucher

3rd Prize ( 4,000 INR ) worth Gift voucher

4th and 5th ( 3,000 INR X 2) =6,000INR worth Gift voucher

6th to 10th (2,000X 5 = 10,000 INR ) worth Consolation Gift voucher

So, the total gift voucher amount will be 31,000 INR

For the SWAG material (Coffee mug), it will be (450 X 10 = 4500 INR)

For core volunteer WLF-2021 (Tshirt) = (475X 5) = 2,375 INR

Total Expenses (2,000+2,000+5,000+31,000+4,500+2,375)= 46,875 INR

পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ব্যবহারকারী দলের সদস্যদের কাজের সময় অনেকক্ষেত্রে আপৎকালীন পরিকাঠামোগত সাহয্যের প্রয়োজন হয়। এ'খানে আমি বড় কিছু বলছি না, কিন্ত ছোটভাবে টাকার একটা অংশ তুলে রাখা যেতে পারে, যা দিয়ে ল্যাপটপ সারানো, পেনড্রাইভ, বা অপরিহার্য কিছু তা সারানো, বা সম্ভব হলে ক্রয় করা যেতে পারে। এই সুবিধে উন্মুক্তভাবে সকল সদস্যের জন্য থাকা উচিত, এবং সাহায্য মেটা-উইকির আলাপপাতায় অনুরোধের পর, বা নির্ধারিত পদ্ধতি অনুসরণ করার পর দেওয়া যেতে পারে। নতুন কিছু করার থেকে, যেইক্ষেত্রে অতিসক্রিয় উইকিমিডিয়ানদের পরিকাঠামোগত সাহয্যের অভাবে কাজ প্রায় বন্ধ হওয়ার মুখে, বা বন্ধ হয়ে গেছে, যা সার্বিক ভাবে তাঁর নিজের কাজের এবং প্রকল্পের ক্ষতি করছে

কাদের জন্য

• আমি প্রস্তাব করি, এইটি পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ব্যবহারকারী দলের সদস্যদের জন্য উন্মুক্ত থাক। যৌক্তিক বা আইনি কারণে যদি এই সাহায্য কোনো ভৌগোলিক সীমায় বেঁধে রাখতে হয় বা অন্য কিছু অসুবিধে হয়, তা অবশ্যই দেখা দরকার।
• সাহায্য দেওয়ার পূর্বে অবশ্যই একজনের অনলাইন কাজ দেখা দরকার।

বহু সময়ে ছোট সাহায্যের অভাবে অনেকদিন কাজ আটকে যায়। গত বছরও আমরা এই ধরনের সমস্যা কয়েকজনের কাছে জানতে পেরেছি। বোধ করি এই সকল ক্ষেত্রে কিছু সাহায্য করা যাবে।

কত টাকা? প্রাথমিক বাজেট: ১০,০০০ ভারতীয় টাকা, ভালো হয় যদি ১০,০০০ ভারতীয় টাকা + বছরের শেষের ব্যয় না হওয়া অংশ চাওয়া যায়।

Wiki Explores Paschim Medinipur - Phase II

Proposed activities

The event has been planned to explore the district of Paschim Medinipur and its various heritage structures. The district has a lot of National / State protected monuments apart from numerous other important heritage structures. Unfortunately they are not explored as much as they should be and there are not much related media in Commons too. A phase I exploration programme has been done in 2019 where a considerable amount of relevant images were submitted to Wikimedia Commons. However, still a large number of monuments are yet to be documented and hence more exploration is needed to gather more related media in Wikimedia commons.

The exploration will be done based at Kharagpur as none of the other place has quality staying options. It will take 7 days to document the heritage spots located in these area. Approximate Budget would be Rs 51,160 with a rough breakup as follows :-

1. Accommodation cost for 7 days (@ Rs 2000 per day) - Rs 14,000
2. Car Cost for 7 days with night stay charge (@ Rs 3500 per day) - Rs 24,500
3. Food cost for 7 days - (@ Rs 1500 per day) - Rs 10,500
4. Train Fare (Howrah to Kharagpur and back - 2 persons) - Rs 1160
5. Miscellaneous cost (road tax, car parking) - Rs 1000

Wiki Explores Bankura - Phase III

Proposed activities

The event has been planned to explore the district of Bankura and its various heritage structures. The district has a lot of National / State protected monuments apart from numerous other important heritage structures. Unfortunately they are not explored as much as they should be and there are not much related media in Commons too. A phase I & II exploration programme has been done in 2018 and 2019 where a considerable amount of relevant images were submitted to Wikimedia Commons. However, still a large number of monuments are yet to be documented and hence more exploration is needed to gather more related media in Wikimedia commons.

5. Miscellaneous cost (Road tax, Car parking) - Rs 200

Wiki Explores Howrah - Phase I

Proposed activities

The event has been planned to explore the district of Howrah and its various heritage structures. The district has many important heritage structures including two State protected monuments. Unfortunately they are not explored as much as they should be and there are not much related media in commons except one or two spots. Hence systematic exploration is needed to document and gather more related media for Wikimedia commons.

Wiki Explores Dakshin Dinajpur - Phase I

Proposed activities

The event has been planned to explore the district of Dakshin Dinajpur and its various heritage structures. The district has a lot of important heritage structures including two National and two State protected monuments. Practically almost no media content relating to this structure has been submitted to Wikimedia Commons. A large number of monuments are yet to be documented and hence detailed exploration is needed to gather more related media in Wikimedia commons.

2. Car Cost for 3 days with night stay charge (@ Rs 3000 per day) - Rs 9,000

5. Train Fare for two persons- Rs 3600

Wiki explores Purba Bardhaman Phase III

Proposed activities

The event has been planned for further exploration the district of Purba Bardhaman and its various heritage structures. The district has a lot of National / State protected monuments apart from numerous other important heritage structures. Bardhaman district has over 400 heritage structures built between 17th to 19th century. A phase I & II exploration programme has been done in 2019 where a considerable amount of relevant images were submitted to Wikimedia Commons. However, still a large number of monuments are yet to be documented and hence more exploration is needed to gather more related media in Wikimedia commons.

Internet Support

I am Sandip Das ( username:Sandipoutsider ), active contributor to Wiki Loves Butterfly Project.Recently I am in some trouble with my internet connection which hinders me in uploading images in Wikimedia commons. It will be of great help to me if I get the support of a Router, router installation charge and monthly recharge for four months from West Bengal Wikimedians User Group. I solemnly declare that if I get the said support , I shall be liable to handover the said device to West Bengal Wikimedians User Group when I shall not contribute to Wikimedia anymore.
