WAE (for Wikipedia Articles Evaluator and formerly FAROS then WikiFaros aka Wikipedia Featured article recommendation and optimization system), is a gadget project which would be an interactive interface designed to enable the user to assess a page's compliance with the essential criteria for its possible distinction as a "Featured article" or "Good article". The tool would offer a meticulous analysis of elements not yet meeting the necessary requirements, providing detailed guidance on how to remedy these shortcomings. Unlike a simple checklist, WikiFaros is said to feature an automated reading function, enabling it to automatically assess the potential for the page in question to obtain the label. The ultimate goal would be to provide algorithmic support to less experienced contributors, guiding them through the process of improving their contributions until they meet the rigorous standards of "Featured article" or "Good article". As a result, this initiative could considerably boost the creation and the number of high-quality articles on the different Wikipedias. At the same time, it is important to specify that, despite the existence of checklists, the platform suffers from a lack of support to help users progress towards these labels, which highlights a major shortage of reviewers.
