- @Sj:, question: do you know how do I grant edit access of this User:Xinbenlv_bot page to my main account Xinbenlv, meta Wikimedia keeps blocking me from editing my bot user page from my main account .... Xinbenlv (talk) 17:14, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Xinbenlv: No idea! It looks editable (and not protected) to me. What error message do you get? –SJ talk 19:57, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

Warning: At Meta it is not usual for a user to edit someone else's user page. A user's main user page would generally only be edited by the user. Please consult with the user on their talk page for edits you are suggesting. If this is your user page, then you may need to login to edit. If this user page is an alternate or a shared account, then you will need to log in to the respective user account to edit. (Noting that many Wikipedias do not allow editing from shared or organisational accounts.) If you have received this message in error, or you have a serious concern about the content of a user page, please let us know.
If the page in question is spam, or similarly problematic, please use the corresponding talk page and mark with either {{edit protected}} or {{delete}}, and your comment. Thank you.
I see, this is a spam filter, MediaWiki:Abusefilter-warning-otheruserpage -- added by xaosflux last year, when trying to protect pages from abuse -- vandals were messing up lots of user pages across different wikis. xaos & @Billinghurst: is there any way to allow people other than {patrollers} to avoid this filter? A higher level of autoconfirmed? I know that's a larger question, but it could be useful in more than this use case. At any rate, practically, people allowed to run bots should be able to edit the botpages. –SJ talk 12:20, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
