Adding comments to "voting pages"

[edit]

Hello Sininen Delfiini. Please note that adding comments to individual user's votes on "voting pages" (as you did for example here) isn't considered a good thing. Such discussions should take place prior to voting, and on the pages specifically set aside for that type questions, for example the Stewards/Elections 2023/Questions page. After that, the actual voting pages are for votes alone. At that point, questioning why a user votes in a certain way (as you did here) isn't really up for discussion—and quite frankly a bit rude. Simply put: All eligible voters within the Wikimedia Community have the right to vote "yes", "no" or "neutral" without having to explain why they cast their vote in any specific way. Having said all this, I still want to thank you for your contributions to Wikimedia! Also, I wish to point out that all of the above are my own personal views: I'm not an administrator here at Meta-Wiki.

PS. Jag bor i Sverige och har sett att du angivit att du kan svenska, men skriver på engelska här eftersom just Meta-Wiki främst är engelskspråkig. :-)

I was unpleasantly surprised by such arguments against good candidates that I could not remain silent. Thank you. Hello from Finland :) Sininen Delfiini (talk) 10:25, 9 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
