Hello SebastianHellmann!, and welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). Happy editing! — Mikhailov Kusserow (talk) 04:32, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Nanu...
Grüße, --თოგო (D) 11:20, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
SebastianHellmann 12:21, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Ach Du bists, habe gerade auf Dein Profil geschaut, schöne Grüße SebastianHellmann 12:22, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Ich schau am Besten nochmal selber nach. Muss ja irgendwie hinzubekommen sein. SebastianHellmann 12:33, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- Von Bots hab ich gar keine Ahnung. ;) Aber wenn du ein temporäres Botflag brauchst, einfach auf Meta:Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat melden, jeder Admin kann dir das geben. --თოგო (D) 12:59, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Request
[edit]Hi Sebastian, a request: would you be so kind to categorise the large number of DBpedia pages you have created on this wiki? There are already far too many uncategorised articles here. Thank you in advance, Wutsje 12:35, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Done, there will be some more categories soon, but each page should be of one category at leastSebastianHellmann 21:51, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks! Wutsje 22:31, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- Please slow down your bot or request a botflag its totally flooding the recent changes. Huib talk 13:04, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
- Bot flag was requested and given Meta:Requests_for_bot_status/DBpedia-Bot, by Adambro I guess, maybe a misunderstanding, but we are finished now, so thats it, no more updates. We might have understood it wrong 13:28, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
- Nope Adambro isn't a bureaucrat here on Meta, he is only a administrator just like me so your request for a botflag is still running here.
- Please keep you on the one edit a minute rate next run until the flag is given.
- Thnks,

... is now a bot. Sj+ translate 09:40, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- This seems like a reasonable use of Meta. If you're going to create hundreds of pages, I would do it in User:DBpedia-Bot's own namespace -- as a similar example, see the work that User:COIBot does. Putting the work in the bot's userspace keeps the new pages from showing up in mainpage article stats, or in Special:Random (DBpedia/ontology could remain in the article namespace, to offer an overview of the project).
- You should update COIBot's userpage to describe what it is doing, and leave another comment on Meta:Babel when you get to work in earnest. Sj+ translate 07:57, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- I don't have an easy way to transfer the pages; you may want to move the few made so far by hand. Restricting the bot to its own userspace is good; you can still keep the bot flag, so you don't clutter up Recentchanges. My sig is just an invitation to join our tem of translators and help us translate all things wikimedia related :) Sj+ help translate 04:13, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
weird dbpedia header
[edit]What does this diff mean? The links to Wikipedia don't exist... Sj+ translate 09:34, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

DB-pedia Bot
[edit]Hello. Can you please check this? Thanks in advance, — Dferg (talk) 18:01, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hello SebastianHellmann. I've replied on my talk page (link). Regards, — Dferg (talk) 11:25, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Vielen Dank, SebastianHellmann 19:12, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
- Nichts zu danken, dafür sind wir da. --WizardOfOz talk 19:14, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Hello. Your bot is inactive for a while now. Do you still need the bot flag ? Thanks. -- Quentinv57 (talk) 21:02, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
- I guess, it can be removed, could you take care of it? Thanks! Do you think I should delete the account, also ? SebastianHellmann 21:37, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, I just did it. Thanks, and have a nice week-end. -- Quentinv57 (talk) 05:07, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
Proposal :)
[edit]Talked to Konrad F today at wikicite; glad to see this being posted! Let us know what you're thinking re: any updates (but it looks ok to me to publish as is, save for any factual changes since the spring). –SJ talk 16:09, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
- Let's chat soon about GFC! I am most excited about this. I'm also working on a 1-afternoon online conference on the graph of global {patent + scholarship} metadata, especially citations. Would love to coordinate so that you could be there. Warmly, –SJ talk 19:00, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Sj: In the proposal, we mention 10 specific Sync targets. Maybe we can include a concrete goal for reference/wikicite there. We might compare and merge papers with DOI across different sources or build a specific interface to compare refs for the same article in multiple languages. Could you help formulate some goals there like cool|impact-full success criteria? SebastianHellmann (talk) 21:43, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
