Unblock

[edit]

Why did you block me? I did nothing wrong and my user name is not impersonating anyone else. Lugnuts792 (talk) 20:17, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Lugnuts792 we have had another user with a similar username who was working mostly on sports related articles and parted ways in less than favourable circumstances. The copyright violation, even if unintentional, along with the username you chose triggered the memory of the other user, hence the block and recommendations to change your username. Robertsky (talk) 00:25, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
understand all. I just got this account and was looking to add to the community. I will cite the work better in the future! Request if you will unblock me? Thanks, Josh Lugnuts792 (talk) 01:44, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@JoshLugnuts792, you have been renamed and unblocked accordingly by Yamla. Cheers, and welcoming to editing on Wikipedia. Robertsky (talk) 17:10, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Evidence supports the conclusion that this is not the only account that was blocked. Robert, indefinitely blocking an account without communication of policy or rule violations prior to the indefinite block and allowing change is unethical.
The action of indefinite block is an extreme response, to the edits that were made by this account.
The information is not an advertisement.
it is data relative to the subject matter. Furthermore , there were no specific edits sited to support your claim.
This is an official notice of appeal to the indefinite account block and deletion.
Additionally, the request for account deletion is not acceptable. There has been no due process here. Countryflashmob (talk) 21:30, 19 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Countryflashmob, Your block is on English Wikipedia which reasoning is stated clearly there. If you wish to appeal to the block, do so on your talk page there. Another admin there may unblock you if they think the block is unjustified. Customs on English Wikipedia do not allow me take further actions on certain administrative actions I have made, such as denying your appeal on English Wikipedia. I will not work on your appeal here as it is 1) out of process, of which you are notified on your talk page, 2) this is Meta-Wiki, not English Wikipedia. Each project has its own set of policies and guidelines. Robertsky (talk) 00:23, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Robert, I would like to discuss the violations further to learn the actions that are not in compliance to prevent future occurrences. Do you recall this specific account and the violation that led you to block the account? I recall that the account was sited for being used for business purposes and advertising. Which is plausible for the content and data shared. At the time I was not aware that the account could not be used to create content for business purposes. My original intent was to add information about the subject “flash mobs” and include information about “country flash mob” to provide points of reference for future articulation. The Wiki archives are an important source for accurate information, I respect the policies and rules for accessing the databases and creating or editing data. How can the information about country flash mob be conveyed so that it complies with wiki policy and expectations as well as make an important future point of reference of information?
Regards,

You can read specifically: en:WP:LINKSPAM, en:WP:PROMONAME, en:WP:COI and possibly en:WP:UPE. If you are doing this professionally and/or paid to do so, you are expected to read and understand the policies and guidelines of the platform before posting, and not waste volunteers' time in cleaning up after you. Robertsky (talk) 01:37, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am not paid to make edits. I am an artist, creator and entrepreneur. The creator of Country Flash Mob. Advancing the culture of country music, and claiming the title on behalf of country music fans everywhere. This is not a profitable exchange, it is a declaration of existence. As there are no other passages or summaries in the wiki text that illustrate the origin or summary of history of the group. By blocking the account you have created an injustice for country music fans and myself, consider the damage done as evidence. Your perception of self may not be aligned with self awareness and self accountability. I have no problem showing you only one example of social injustice you have created. I trust the universe will reward you accordingly. Countryflashmob (talk) 06:01, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
The creator of Country Flash Mob. That is enough to qualify you having a conflict of interest. Robertsky (talk) 06:27, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

NOBULL move

[edit]

Hi, I see that you marked my request move the NoBull page to Nobull as not done. Can you inform as to why? Based on my previous attempt to move this page other editors did not appear to oppose moving to Nobull. I am fairly new here so if I need to submit this type of request elsewhere for discussion please let me know. Thanks. Jcostas81 (talk) 02:45, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Jcostas81, ah... your request was incorrectly formatted (en:Special:Parmalink/1233374629), requesting to move NOBULL (a redirect) to Nobull (wasn't created initially). So I had created a new redirect at Nobull instead. On the specific request to move NoBull to Nobull, in addition to the previous discussion, looking at the news reports now from Google, it does seem that there is a case to move to Nobull. You had tried pinging the previous participants on the article's talk page, which is right to do so. Since there is no response, the next step would be reaching out to the closer of the discussion directly, which I will doing so. This is to ensure that there aren't further issues arising from this move. Robertsky (talk) 03:29, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
