My comments on your RfGR
[edit]Hey, I apologize if my example poorly represented your comments, or if I misunderstood. I was trying to provide both statements of why cross-wiki experience was important, and specific evidence of that. Your comment "Obviously every wiki wants you to fix a wrong title" suggests that you are able to easily identify what a wrong title is in another language - my example attempted to show otherwise. That example title was in the wrong dialect of the language, and needed to be moved to the correct dialect.
Regardless, I suppose my efforts were unsuccessful if I wasn't clear enough, so sorry for any confusion. Ajraddatz (Talk) 04:24, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Potential Wikimania 2016 bid
[edit]Hi, I noticed that you listed St. Louis as a potential location for hosting Wikimania in 2016. As someone who works in the area during the summers, I'd be happy to help you with this if you'd like. Fredlyfish4 (talk) 18:03, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
- I am excited to see this too. I live in Minnesota, but I've been to St. Louis and know it's a great city. I hope your bid goes well. I really enjoyed Wikimania in Washington, D.C. Jonathunder (talk) 22:34, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the support. Washington University in St. Louis seems like the best candidate venue to host us, although Saint Louis University and Lindenwood University in St. Charles could do in in a pinch. I'll have to get in touch with someone from Wash. U. to explore the potential. My dad works there so that should make it easier. I'll definitely have to ask User:Harej for some tips since Washington went so well. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 07:23, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- Has there been any progress on the bid? Anything, perhaps, that I could do to help? Jonathunder (talk) 00:34, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- Still under study but still going well so far. Just a little difficult since I live in mid-Missouri now. I'll keep both of you in the loop. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 01:39, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
