DBpedia-bot

Hi, thank you for your message. We still need to make a some more changes (maybe 1000) in bulk, but just once for initialization. So what would be the preferred way: Doing it with 60 seconds (17 hours) in between so it is finished faster or having an interval of 10 minutes (7 days) so it doesn't clutter RC, but will be uploading a little bit longer. What interval do you suggest? Would you be so kind to delete this page DBpedia/ontology. I already made a backup and we want to get rid of the subpages, so maybe the easiest way is to delete the DBpedia/ontology page. Thank you SebastianHellmann 19:25, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Hello. Thanks for your reply. I do not object the changes and we appreciate your contributions. The question is that the bot is flagged with a bot flag which technically hides their edits on the Special:RecentChanges page but something might be wrong in the bot configuration files that makes its edits visible on recent changes. I'm asking you to look at the code of the bot and see if there is a way to fix that because we granted you the flag to the bot to avoid this problem (look if there is some bot=0 for example and remove it). Once fixed, you can edit at a higher speed because its edits will not be visible on RCs. Thank you, — Dferg (talk) 19:34, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

DBpedia Ontology Subpages

hm, the deletion of subpages of DBpedia/ontology was not successful see e.g. DBpedia/ontology/MusicalArtist. What would be the best way to do it? Our bot has a botflag, but can it delete pages? Hello SebastianHellmann. Only administrators can delete pages. A bot flag serves basically for hidding the account edits from recent changes. If you want a list of pages deleted please tell me which ones do you want deleted and I will delete them. Alternatate, you can tag them with {{delete|reason for deletion here}} and me or another administrator will take care of them. Cordially,
