MediaWiki Users and Dev_Conf Fall 2024, more parts to translate?[edit]
Hello, congratulations to take up and organize MediaWiki_Users_and_Developers_Conference_Fall_2024! I would like to ask for your support, and would you care to add tags, and push the basic infos for translation ASAP please? My WikiMedia peers from Japan, or ppl from the ESEAP region would find great opportunity to discuss with global community. A very local condition might be unfriendly for those aspiring to discuss face in face in Vienna I am afraid.
The background: In June, public/government sponsored entities in Japan have their budget movable after the Diet decides to disseminate additional support. That is later than the fiscal calendar for the private sectors, starting in April each year in this country and some ESEAP contries:
- attendees-to-be from Japan are starting to compete and file to their employees for travel-conference costs in June,
- Yen is so weak now, so that the competition is rather fierce than, say, in 2018;
- and the administration will take long summer break in ealy July, or
- actually, the accounting functions will resume its decision making in September, with long paper works.
