Add topicWelcome to Meta!
[edit]Hello, KSiebert (WMF). Welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum if you need help with something (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). Also worthwhile acquainting yourself with the functions of global user pages. Happy editing!
Not that you need it, but everyone should get {{welcome}}

- I do need it, thank you! KSiebert (WMF) (talk) 19:33, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
Open letter to the WMF
[edit]Hi Karolin,
We have posted an open letter to the Foundation and Board of Trustees. It concerns the development of MediaWiki extensions and needs the personal attention of all concerned developers and managers. Please see it at:
meta: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Open_letter_from_English_Wikipedia_New_Page_Reviewers and en.Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:New_pages_patrol/Coordination/2022_WMF_letter
Your comments are welcome. Many thanks.
Kind regards, On behalf of the English Wikipedia Community MB (talk) 02:48, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
Help:Diff
[edit]@KSiebert (WMF): Is Community Tech/Documentation/Drafts/Help:Diff still a draft or you have prepared a better version of it? I'm just asking because it is up for translation? If you are sure this should be marked for translation, please let me know. ─ The Aafī (talk) 15:49, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- We are still working on this one actually, as we adjust it while we prepare for the work and narrow down specifications. Thanks for paying attention to it, can let you know when it's ready to be moved to Mediawiki.org where it actually lives. KSiebert (WMF) (talk) 17:15, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
Phabricator tag removal
[edit]Hi, can you please explain why you removed the Community Tech tag from T324107? As I said there, every single task for Phonos is automatically tagged with the CommTech tag, so it's inexplicable that you removed it from that task only. Are you sure you didn't mistake it for a sprint tag or something? Your silence has been puzzling and I'd appreciate if you could have a comment. Thank you. Nardog (talk) 02:28, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hello Nardog,
- sorry, for the delayed reply, removing the Community Tech Tag tag from tickets is a common practise we use to during our triage sessions, when we are sorting work to be worked on by the team in the nearer future. I want to highlight that removing the Community Tech Tag does not mean that we do not appreciate the feature request and that it won't be implemented, it only means that it hasn't made it into our current work boards.
- All the best,
- KSiebert (WMF) (talk) 10:40, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
