[edit]Hello.
If you don’t like “multiple messages via IRC”, then it is unwise to show up on respective IRC channels, for you. And I will not tolerate your meddling into my postings the next time. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 08:24, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Incnis Mrsi: JustBerry already granted the autopatroller right by the former Meta admin User:Mathonius, it doesn't need to re-grant it again. SA 13 Bro (talk) 08:29, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- @SA 13 Bro: I had a shortage of imagination. A user entitled to place a speedy deletion template on the page in question goes to a public venue instead, and a dozen people read the crap instead of just two users (JustBerry himself and the deleting sysop). I realized that my conclusion about interference by Special:Abusefilter/161 is wrong after few minutes. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 08:49, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Incnis Mrsi: I will explain the series of events, so we can call this chapter to a close. I do not appreciate your messaging several administrators and stewards about one post; they will get to the post when they have a chance. Please have patience. Regarding your statement that "it is unwise to show up on respective IRC channels," I am allowed to be in a public IRC channel at my own discretion without any expectations per say. Initially, you had approached me via IRC, asking if I had bothered to read a particular thread on the page I had posted on. You had mentioned that I was tripping the edit filter. This does not appear to be the case, which you had soon realized, as I already have the autopatrolled user right. I did not meddle in your postings; posting to request the right on my behalf a) causes confusion as it is unrelated to my request and b) is unnecessary because I already have the right. Hence, reverting the edit with an explanation does not appear to be unwarranted in this case. I have heeded your third message about using the template. It should be noted, though, that meta can be trickier to patrol because sysops are not patrolling pages as often as those on larger wikis do (like the English Wikipedia). If tagged pages are left unattended, the user can easily revert the tag if he or she wanted to do so. Filing a request on a more central page on a wiki that is less heavily monitored keeps users accountable for their actions. Quite frankly, this is really not a fruitful discussion to be having, particularly when it is over one userpage deletion request. However, since you seemed quite concerned both on wiki and over IRC, I have addressed your concern now. I am not going to be contributing to this discussion any further. --JustBerry (talk) 09:12, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
