Hi,

I'm FT2. I mostly edit on the English Wikipedia, and keep my main user and talk pages there. I also help on OTRS. If you need a hand with anything, or want to reach me, please do ask.

I will read comments on my talk page here, as well, or you can reach me by email too.

Thank you!

Tip

[edit]

Hi FT2, a tip: are you familiar with the Show preview button on the bottom of the editing screen? You may want to use it. Regards, Wutsje 17:13, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am... but its a well-known matter..... FT2 (Talk | email) 17:21, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Don't

[edit]

As a blatant and admitted POV pusher on IRC who lives for "the debate" as you have put it in many logs that I have shown others, you are not welcome on my talk page. You have been told that your ideas and claims are highly inappropriate and not constructive for a safe encyclopedic environment on IRC many times and I do not wish to have anything to do with you. Ottava Rima (talk) 00:09, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Also, it is rather disruptive to claim that penis images are used on wikisource, wikiversity, etc, when you know they are not. It is furthermore disruptive to say that someone has the right to sign as a user name when they are using an IP, which has never been acceptable behavior. Your pushing such statements among others are completely reprehensible and it is unappropriated for you to even think that it was appropriate to post them anywhere. Ottava Rima (talk) 00:11, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
An "admitted" POV pusher would presumably be someone who says "I push my POV on Wiki(m|p)edia". Except for the acceptable sense that everyones' posts reflect their views, I don't think I have ever been an "admitted POV pusher", nor are your other statements true. Which is fine - if you feel I'm mistaken then please email me a copy of the statements you are referring to, or for wiki posts provide diffs, and I will correct myself. Also if you wish to add me to a long list of people you want northing to do with, I would not try to stop you and you are obviously free to do so.
If you do not wish contact the best way to achieve that is not to repeatedly message me on IRC with rants to find when I return. Thank you. FT2 (Talk | email) 01:24, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank You

[edit]

FT2 - I wanted to personally thank you for writing an editor appeal for the fundraiser this year. I'm sorry we weren't able to use all of them, but I really appreciate you taking the time to write and submit one. Thanks again - Deniz (WMF) 22:12, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mobile Survey

[edit]

FT2 - We are currently in the process of launching mobile survey on the website. I have set-up a wiki page for the survey http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_Mobile_Readers_Survey_2011 I would really appreciate if you can provide feedback. Manipande 17:30, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

You can have the last word

[edit]

You can have the last word in the exchange here. I'm not angry or offended. But I just don't think an extended discussion is going to change either of our viewpoints. Please be assured I've long considered the points you raise, but I disagree with many of your objections, for reasons both philosophical and empirical. At times, I think of writing a FAQ-essay on these topics, but the relative risk/reward doesn't seem worth it nowadays. Regrets. -- Seth Finkelstein (talk) 09:52, 2 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

A gummi bear holding a sign that says "Thank you"
Thank you for using VisualEditor and sharing your ideas with the developers. My apologies if you're getting this message more than once, and/or not in your favorite language.

Hello, FT2,

I am contacting you because you have left feedback about VisualEditor at pages like mw:VisualEditor/Feedback in the past. The Editing team is now asking for your help with VisualEditor. Please tell them what they need to change to make VisualEditor work well for you. The team has a list of top-priority problems, but they also want to hear about small problems. These problems may make editing less fun, take too much of your time, or be as annoying as a paper cut. The Editing team wants to hear about and try to fix these small things, too.

You can share your thoughts by clicking this link. You may respond to this quick, simple, anonymous survey in your own language. If you take the survey, then you agree your responses may be used in accordance with these terms. This survey is powered by Qualtrics and their use of your information is governed by their privacy policy.

More information (including a translatable list of the questions) is posted on wiki at mw:VisualEditor/Survey 2015. If you have questions, or prefer to respond on-wiki, then please leave a message on the survey's talk page.
