Hello Alex Blokha, and welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). If you would like, feel free to ask me questions on my talk page. Happy editing! Ottava Rima (talk) 21:38, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Global CSS & JavaScript
[edit]Hello Alex Blokha. You now have global CSS & JavaScript, as you requested on User:Pathoschild/Scripts/Synchbot. You can see sortable logs of each page edited or skipped at User:Pathoschild/Scripts/Synchbot/Archives/Alex Blokha. —Pathoschild 23:57:22, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Translation Update
[edit]I want to thank you for your help translating throughout this year's fundraiser. The fundraiser has greatly benefited from all your contributions. Currently, the Kartika, Liliaroja, Abbas and Joan Gomà appeals need to be translated, as we are running appeals from editors. You can find all translation requests at the translation hub on meta and you can follow the progress of the fundraiser in real time by tracking the fundraiser statistics. It is important to check the Core Messages as many languages still need updating. Also if you haven't already, you can subscribe to the translators-l mailing list for all new requests and major changes. Many thanks for your help in truly making this a global fundraiser that you can edit.Klyman 20:08, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe it is funny, but I have not seen my translation in live. Instead I've seen russian translation. Although I have ukrainian interface. And I don't know any ukrainian user, which have seen ukrainian translation live. --Alex Blokha 09:32, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Thank You
[edit]I wanted to personally thank you for your help with Ukrainian translations during the fundraiser. I really appreciate your assistance in getting messages translated and pushed out quickly! Thanks again - Deniz (WMF) 21:04, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Translator, We need you!
[edit]Dear Alex Blokha,
You have helped us in previous years with translations and for that we are most grateful. Now we turn towards the 2011/12 fundraiser. It may seem forever away, but work has already begun getting everything ready to go. This year we want to have landing pages covering as many countries in as many languages as possible.
Right now, we want to figure out who is interested in translating for the fundraiser. This year we're hoping to have more of a solidified "core" group of translators that we can count on to have work done by a few key dates, but we'd also welcome help from people who are willing to just help out when they can.
If you would be interested please take a look at this little sign-up survey and fill it out http://survey.wikimedia.org/index.php?sid=13638&newtest=Y&lang=en. With that we can start building a list of people and filling any gaps in the languages we serve.
Many Thanks

Global CSS/JS migration
[edit]Hello Alex Blokha. You load your global scripts and styles from uk:User:Alex Blokha/global.js (see example) and uk:User:Alex Blokha/common.css (see example). Since August 19th, your global.js and global.css pages on Meta are automatically loaded on all wikis (see announcement). You no longer need to manually load them, as you do on many wikis. I can merge your global scripts and styles into global.js and global.css, and and remove the unneeded local pages with synchbot for you. Do you want me to do that? —Pathoschild 17:15, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
- Yes. --Alex Blokha (talk) 18:01, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
- This was done a few weeks ago. You can see the full log on your archive page. :) —Pathoschild 19:04, 07 February 2015 (UTC)

Next steps for the wish “confirmation prompt for the rollback link”
[edit]Hello, a while ago you participated in a feedback round about a proposal how accidental clicks on the rollback link could be avoided. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and ideas!
Looking at the feedback and the rollback situation in different wikis, the development team decided how to approach this wish: As a default, most wikis won’t have a confirmation. But users who wish to have one, can enable it in their preferences, which will add a confirmation prompt to the rollback link on the diff page and on the list pages. The prompt won’t be a pop-up, but an inline prompt like for the thanks confirmation. You can read more about the planned solution and what influenced this decision on the project page. -- Best, Johanna Strodt (WMDE) (talk) 09:34, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
WikiGap Challenge
[edit]Hi! I noticed that you took part in WikiGap Challenge last year. I just wanted to inform you that we are running the Challenge this year too, to improve the representation of women on Wikipedia! For WikiGap Challenge 2020, the first prize is to go to Geneva and visit UN Human Rights. Writing one of the bonus points articles, about women active in human rights, yields double points in the competition. I hope you join this year too! Best, Eric Luth (WMSE) (talk) 10:41, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your participation in the WikiGap Challenge!
[edit]Hi!
Now, we have finalized the results from the WikiGap Challenge. You can find the general and top results here. I want to thank you for your contribution, which together with the other participants have created a tremendous and long lasting impact for the visibility of women on Wikipedia.
We want to give you a barnstar for your participation, to praise your efforts for a better visibility of women on Wikipedia!
We will analyze the challenge and the way it works closely, to see how we can improve it for next year. It would be very valuable for us if you wanted to share your views on the challenge, especially when it comes to: the point system, the focus, and the adding of the list from UN Human Rights. You can send your answers to eric.luth@wikimedia.se!
I hope you found the challenge exciting, and that you want to participate next year as well!
