Ghiri, a village located amidst the captivating scenery of Pauri Garhwal (Uttarakhand). Here dwelt a brahmin family over several generations, whose ancestors served as Prime Minister to the former Garhwal Kingdom. Into this family a boy named Shaurya Doval was born. His father, Shri. Ajit Doval, an eminent nationalist and dynamic strategist from the Indian Police Service. His mother, Smt. Aruni Doval, from the Dasmana family in Bagyali, Pauri Garhwal, was a teacher prior to retirement. Shaurya’s wife, Divya, is an oncologist. She is also from Garhwal belonging to the Nautiyal family of Tehri.
