I'm Rupal Karia Outreach and Community Coordinator at WMUK.
Biography
[edit]I hold a BSc in Banking and International Finance from City University, London. I completed a Teaching English as a Second Language and worked in Spain and then volunteered across Argentina, Peru and Bolivia as a English teacher.
After returning to the UK, I moved into the Voluntary Sector working with various grassroots charities managing volunteer teams and supporting them with building robust volunteering systems.
More recently, I worked at the Volunteer Centres in Camden and Hackney supporting other organisations with their volunteering needs as well as managing teams of volunteers.
Work
[edit]My work at WMUK is centred around supporting the existing WMUK community of volunteers and to also recruit new contributors - particularly from under-represented groups and communities who are new to WMUK.
