About me
Hey there! I'm Hridesh (he/him), an undergraduate student pursuing Computer Science Engineering at Amritapuri, India. I am a second-year undergraduate at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, India
I consider myself as a generalist who is always open to try and learn new things. While my true passion lies in the field of software development, some of my hobbies include public speaking, tinkering with electronics, video editing etc.
I'm also a member of an open source club at our college called amFOSS, where I work on my technical as well as non technical skills by making contributions to open source projects and helping the club grow.
My work
My technical interests shift from time to time (and honestly, by the time you read this, they might’ve changed again!). That said, I do have a strong interest in backend dev, kernel dev and DevOps, however, if an opportunity to explore something new comes up, I would most likely take it up.
Projects
[edit]ToolWatch is a Wikimedia Tool which checks the health status of all live web based tools on Wikimedia. I have contributed to it during a few Wikimedia Hackathons to extend its functionality and add new features.[1][2]
I worked on the Linux Kernel over the course of an LFX mentorship program and made patches to support a few missing features for my laptop series. I also made contributions to improve a few existing interfaces, particularly those that handle platform drivers.
Bedrock is club infrastructure system that I designed and developed for amFOSS using Docker, GitHub Actions, Traefik and a few other tools. It has been deployed but It's still a work in progress.
Urbanalyze is a project that me and my team developed during the Evolumin national level hackathon, which focuses on analyzing urban trends and patterns to provide insights for sustainable city planning.
