I'm Revekka Kefalea, also known here as GLAMHacker — a username that originated from a non-formal, voluntary initiative I launched in 2018 called GLAM Hack. Though no longer active, GLAM Hack was dedicated to promoting open access to culture and the democratization of knowledge by exploring the educational and creative possibilities offered by digital cultural heritage. It aimed to encourage the reuse of open content, support skill-building, and invite people to actively participate in shaping culture — not as a luxury, but as a shared and essential human practice.
My broader work focuses on critical heritage and museum studies, power relations in digital curation, open access advocacy, and civic engagement. I contribute to Wikimedia projects to promote equitable access to knowledge, and to support more inclusive, reflective approaches to documenting and sharing cultural heritage.
