User:Catherine Amia

Catherine is a librarian in Uganda. She attained her Bachelors degree in Library and Information Science from Makerere University, Kampala Uganda. She is a volunteer with the Wikimedia Community User Group Uganda and is mainly involved in the GLAM Wiki Uganda project under the Ugandan Libraries Geo Quest (a library mapping exercise).

Previously, she was a librarian at Kawempe Youth Centre in charge of the Information and Education program. Catherine was also the country champion (Uganda) of the Advancing Visibility in African Libraries (ALVA) project under African Libraries and Information Institutions Association's (AfLIA). This project involved mapping existing community and public libraries in Uganda.
