Abstract:
Wikidata is a multilingual knowledge base that stores not only concepts (items), but in fact also words and phrases in many languages. These linguistic elements are called lexemes. Lexemes can be linked to other lexemes, concepts, and external resources, creating a rich network of lexicographical data. In this lecture, you will learn more about what Wikidata lexemes are, what they are good for, and how you can contribute to this exciting project! |

This session will introduce the participants to the concept and potential of Wikidata lexemes, which are a valuable resource for documenting and preserving the linguistic diversity of the Turkic world. The participants will get introduced to some ideas on how they can contribute to Wikidata lexemes in their own native languages! The goal of this lecture is to increase understanding and awareness of Wikidata lexemes and their benefits for the Turkic communities. |
