Hey @Tacsipacsi: thanks for looking out for my messy edits! This template was initially intended as a sub-menu for {{Strategy/2030/Header/Layout}} (I meant for it to look just like the sub-menu in the recommendations page). Due to some issues that my limited technical capabilities couldn't identify, though, the template didn't look so well and I had to remove it altogether, rendering it unused. Recently, I've created a new page where I thought I could use it, which is why I went ahead and changed the values that you reverted. In this case, would it make sense to change the values here, as I did, or do you think it would be best to create a fully new template? --Abbad (WMF) (talk) 14:29, 22 October 2020 (UTC).Reply

@Abbad (WMF): It makes sense to change the values IMO (of course, everything needs to be retranslated, but the retranslation may even happen faster than the translation of a brand new template, as the original translator may have this template on their watchlist); my biggest issue was that all the new links were red. I could have fixed (and will be able to fix) the broken translation, but I can’t figure out the right titles (or create the pages with the right content) instead of you. So if the now-redlinked pages are created (please pay attention to the spelling of “registration”!), feel free to update the links. It makes changing the template much easier if we don’t use a separate /layout page, so please just update the links right on this page. Thanks! —Tacsipacsi (talk) 19:30, 22 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Tacsipacsi: Thanks for the clarification. To be honest, the links are meant to be red since detailed information about the events program and registration* won't be available until a week or two, perhaps. If you think it's inappropriate to do the menu this way, I'll wait until the pages are created and readd the links to the template. Keeping it all in one place would make it equally easier for me, I just copied the two template formatting from older Strategy pages (and didn't have enough technical knowledge to figure out if one was enough) --Abbad (WMF) (talk) 22:38, 23 October 2020 (UTC).Reply
@Abbad (WMF): I just checked the usage and its used nowhere but your sandbox. In this case, probably it’s okay to have red links as long as you make it clear that the links are intentionally red. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 01:36, 24 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Tacsipacsi: I'll do that in about a week so we have more to share. I'll also try to merge the layout template. Thank you for your help --Abbad (WMF) (talk) 19:44, 26 October 2020 (UTC).Reply
@Abbad (WMF): Okay, thanks. By the way, I have already merged it with the layout template, so all you have to do is not to unmerge it, which is not that hard. ;) —Tacsipacsi (talk) 21:29, 26 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
