Template talk:Events calendar
Add topicHello!
--Flor WMCH (talk) 13:30, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Salut Flor,

Translations
[edit]How I can help with translation? The button "Ajouter un événement", for example, is in French, as most parts of the interface for adding a new event. --Daniele Pugliesi (talk) 15:16, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
Deleting an event

Mini-calendars by day or week
[edit]I believe the functionality to display a mini-calendar by day or week would be helpful, particularly when highlighting upcoming events during longer multi-week campaigns.--Pharos (talk) 17:21, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
Export to external website
[edit]Is there a way to export the calendar in a standard format (iCal, etc.) to use it in an external website?--Lupin~frwiki (talk) 23:39, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Sure @Lupin~frwiki, it’s explained on the specific advanced documentation page Events calendar/about/fr. Nivopol (talk) 23:50, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
Reverse order for list
[edit]Hi y'all,
Céline Husetowski WMFr is asking me if it's posible to have the list (with display = list) in the antechronological order.
0x010C or other people (Pyb?) : what do you think? would it be possible?

Adding local timezone to local calendar
[edit]Is it possible to change the timezone (UTC to IST/KSA) in which events appear in the calendar? Note: This is not for changing in the common one, instead its for a specific project/language. Adithyak1997 (talk) 17:24, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hello,
- I was planning to post a quite similar question.
- Basically, Event Calendar interface seems to ask for UTC timezone when adding an event. But :
- most events I see use local timezone (UTC+1 for French winter time for instance),
- the Calendar display doesn’t honor the timezone display preference from the user settings.
- So, I understand why we have this situation: in order for the Calendar to actually be usable.
- Timezone management is hard to do right, lots of people probably do not have the timezone display setting set, and now managing to correctly modify every already recorded event to the right UTC time would be a risky task.
- Would it be conceivable as a first step to change the Calendar interface to hint that timestamp should rather be local time, instead of having it erroneously asking for UTC?
- The second step would be selectable timezone in event edition form, and then perhaps to display the chosen timezone in the main view.
- Best regards, Nivopol (talk) 10:25, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
