This page is a soft redirect.

The parameter needs brackets (you can use wikilinks or external links or no link for private destinations). See also {{interwiki redirect}}.

This is the Soft redirect 2 template and is used if the page is not an interwiki redirect nor was the page name moved. Information about soft redirects can be found at Wikipedia:Soft redirect. It is similar to the soft redirect template used on the English Wikipedia. If the redirect's target is to another wiki, use Template:Interwiki redirect instead.

Usage

This template may be used if the target of the redirect is other than a page that have been moved, a page on another wiki, or a page that is a category. The templates used for those redirects can be found in the § See also section of the documentation.

Linking

Note: "TargetName" (used in the example) should not be created as a new page. Instead, it should be replaced with the page name of the target of the redirect.

Linking to the target of the redirect must be done by using {{Soft redirect 2|[[TargetName]]}}, which would produce:

TargetName
This page is a soft redirect.

Otherwise, if the target name is not covered in square brackets used for internal links ([[...]]), that would produce:

TargetName
This page is a soft redirect.
