Wikimedia Statistics can be difficult to interpret. What is your impression, how many steady contributors do you have?

- On the other hand, media reported about 400 of them, don't know who gave them such data. I would agree with Roo on the die-hard editor count, and would add the 300 as editors who are not die-hards, but write too often to be called "temporary". Are your contributors mostly native speakers?

Where do your contributors live (regions/country)?

How common is it that your contributors meet in real life?

Do you have special contacts with another Wikipedias (maybe in related languages)?
- A lot of articles are translated verbatim from en Wiki, there is a project called "Translation of the month" that coordinates translating featured articles from other Wikipedias. Roo72 09:06, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a Wikimedia chapter in your country? How does your language relate to it?

Is there a language institution for your language, like an Academy, or a club of people interested in your language? Do you have contact with them?
- pl:Rada Języka Polskiego, not directly but they have a mailing list where they answer questions about the Polish language and its intricacies and a few questions were asked by Polish Wikipedians. Roo72 09:06, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Who (else) supports you?
- Polish taxpayers can direct 1% of their income tax towards a registered "public benefit organization", "Stowarzyszenie Wikimedia Polska" is such an organization and last financial year it has receive PLN140.000 (around $60,000). Roo72 09:29, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What does the public outreach for your edition look like? Do you have flyers, give lectures, trainings etc.?

Do you get feedback from readers?
- Quite a lot, especially since we started "report an error" feature, there is a link on every page that let's a casual reader to report a mistake. Roo72 09:06, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What other encyclopedias exist in your language?
- There is a well-established encyclopedia by a long-term academic material publisher en:Polish Scientific Publishers PWN - probably the most recognised. There are also online encyclopedias run by a few major portals and a whole bunch of special-purpose encyclopaedias and almanachs of the Larousse king, most of which are Polish adaptations of such international titles. Does your edition concentrates on certain topics, like your region and language, or Latin Wikipedia on Roman history and Christianity?

Did your edition enjoy text donations, for example from older encyclopedias?
- Yes, we can copy texts from other sites, which agree to use their texts under GFDL. So, we use older (PD) encyclopedias too. Przykuta 20:35, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a generally accepted norm about your language (spelling, dictionary, pronounciation)?

How do you deal with different spellings, dialects etc. (like B.E. lift and A.E. elevator)?
