Goals

[edit]

Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?

yes, We are happy to do outreaches in various form and got few new users. We have annouced in site notice and talk page of active users. We have organized 2 inperson workshops and 3 online workshops. we were not only focused on Wikipedia but also focused on Wikidata and Technology in our workshops. Initially we were worried about relevant articles, later global Team had able to suggest localized list of titles, which helped many users to create their articles.

Outcome

[edit]

Please report on your original project targets.

We encouraged users to select the article anFew of the doubts and challenges from the users were addressed using these events. Other few news users tried to create article but unable to meet the criteria. However as a community we able to create 1,670 articles from 19 users. Due to these activities we got four students, who has shown their interest in providing technical solution for our problem statements.

Learning

[edit]

What worked well? What didn't work so well? What would you do differently next time?

Since Prize amount was announced at the end of the month, we are unable to motivate the greater audience while the contest is running. Since workshops were conducted at the end of contest, students were unable to complete their articles but they were able to understand the wikipedia edits. We had to push few offline events in the month of February due to confirmation from Global organizing Team. The dates extension at the last moment had demotivated few experienced Wikipedians. However entire event went well and we were able to bag various prizes from global ranking. We would request event organizers to announce the prize at first day and don't extend the event dates at end.
