Thematic date campaigns?

I was thinking about thematic dates (like those on the List of environmental dates) and that it could possibly be a good way to do some outreach. We have a wealth of good imagery that we can use in our tweets which is a fantastic resource. I guess the more tricker part is to find a suitable "call to action" or goal with the campaign, and I guess they might vary depending on the theme of the date. Generic goals

• Raise awareness about us.
• Raise awareness on an important topic.
• Get more followers.
• Increase trust in our platforms on these topics (and in general)
• Get people to sign up on Wikimedians for Sustainable Development/Participants.

Methods to reach goals

• Share good content e.g. an article with that will give the reader unbiased and reliable information.
• "Today is X day, here is a related article [link]"
