Talk:Wikimedia meetup Central and Eastern Europe/Archive

[edit]Since, apparently, not very many people now about this meetup I took the liberty of informing the Ambassadors of all the CEE countries that have embassies. Unfortunately i don't have time to look for English speaking users on the other Wikis. Those not informed by me are (in no particular order): mo: uk: lv: sk: sh: (I believe that's all, but if I forgot about one or two - sorry).
Below is a copy of the message I sent to the Ambassadors:
- Hello! I'd like to draw the attention of your Wikicommunity to a Wikimedia meetup that we would like to orginize later this year. Please inform you collegues of this initiative. We would be greateful for any new ideas you might have or any help you can offer. And... Oh yeah - see you there! :)
- See the meetups page on Meta for more details.
- Best regards, TOR 18:20, 3 Jan 2005 (UTC)
(Note: Meta: prefixes have been removed in order for the message to display properly on meta - if you wish to use this message please add Meta: in front of the links.)
So... With any luck, we should have some more people working on this event and (hopefully) participating in it. Cheers, TOR 18:20, 3 Jan 2005 (UTC)
First I want to say that my english is not very good so sorry for any mistakes in grammatic. I think there cannot be lot of people bucause they aren't accustom to meet other people which they know only on the Internet. I think we should give some information to larger count of wiki users or that will not be happened. Holek 17:19, 28 Jan 2005 (UTC)
I took the liberty of setting up a subpage (/Poland) which will be used for discussion about a possible WMCEE in Poland this year (yes, that's 2005). Currently we (as a community) are not quite sure wether we will be able to cope, language- and organization-wise, with such a big event as a general meetup for Wikimedians from all of Central and Eastern Europe. This issue will be looked into and we will inform the international Wiki-community of the outcome of the debate as soon as we reach a decision. Cheers, TOR 22:34, 20 Feb 2005 (UTC)
