Article content
[edit]I've had a few personal projects that I've been working on, and I'm not sure where the best section is to put these:
- Creating articles for the top performing films of NZ origin: Dame Valerie Adams: More than Gold, Gloriavale, Mister Organ, Muru, Nude Tuesday, Whina
- NZ film directors: Tweedie Waititi, Tearepa Kahi, Paula Whetu Jones, Armağan Ballantyne
- Māori-language singers: Dudley Benson, Coterie, Troy Kingi, Melodownz, Rob Ruha, Niko Walters
- Māori-language songs: "Ka Mānu", "Kotahitanga", "Matemateāone", "Raupatu", "Taera", "Tukituki Te Manawa"
- Mental health organisations in New Zealand: New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists, New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists, New Zealand Psychological Society
- Created Wikidata items for all Ockham New Zealand Book Awards
- Creating Wikidata items for most attendees of the Samesame but Different LGBTQIA+ Writers and Readers Festival.
- Wikipedia requested photographs in New Zealand
- Wikipedia requested photographs in New Zealand - checked every locality article on a location in NZ if it needs a photo, and if so, sorting it by region.
- Wikipedia requested images of New Zealand biota - attempted to identify as many NZ fauna species as possible have, and attempted to
- Wikipedia requested photographs in Auckland - reduced the number of requested photos to 235, despite the number of articles on the Auckland Region increasing. Large sections of Auckland now have no images needed, including the Auckland CBD and most of West Auckland.

Stuff I've done that doesn't really count as anything official
[edit]Sorry but I'm not WP:BOLD enough to put any of this into the report, but if it helps, some stuff I've tried to do this year:
- Continued improvement of NZ wine-related articles, particularly the en:New Zealand wine article, with a long-term view to getting it reviewed for GA
- Contributed a patch for the Score extension to generate music notation as sorely-needed SVG, currently under review. The current PNG output via PostScript/GhostScript and ImageMagick is not really cutting it any more in the 2020s with phones and retina displays
- Contributed new photos via Commons for en:Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium, en:MOTAT, en:Orokonui Ecosanctuary, en:Dunedin Symphony Orchestra, en:Transmission Gully Motorway, and others
- Creating and/or updating venues, places, books etc. in Wikidata, often adding Commons images or updating missing details, map coordinates, and identifiers
- Adding citations used to Wikidata where they were missing, and using en:Template:Cite Q wherever humanly possible because it is Awesome and Good, and therefore Righteous to do so
- Created NZ articles: en:Orpheus Choir of Wellington, en:Wellington Opera; also en:Len Southward (from a redirect)
- Created non-NZ articles: en:soprano trombone, en:Christian Friedrich Sattler; also (from redirects) en:alto trombone, en:valve trombone, en:contrabass trombone, en:bass trombone, en:cimbasso
- Got entirely distracted from NZ-specific work for many months down a massive musical instrument rabbit hole; improving particularly the various types of trombone, but also the flutes, clarinets, saxophones, sarrusophones, serpents, and others; adding images via Commons, creating SVG diagrams of brass instrument valves

- @Jonathanischoice: how is this? I've added a general subsection for different things we've improved, and a single subsection for your focus on instruments. --Prosperosity (talk) 23:25, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
