Welcome to the talk page for the Annual Plan Fiscal Year 2020-2021. Per the Wikimedia Foundation Executive Director's announcement, between the planned "quiet period" and office holidays, this space will be monitored and questions will be answered from 4 January 2021 to 29 January 2021; let us engage in a civil and constructive way throughout this time. This talk page discussion is meant for providing comments about the Annual Plan and for asking questions to understand it better (because the Annual Plan has been finalized by the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees, it will not undergo further changes, but teams across the Foundation will continue to offer project-specific opportunities for engagement and community feedback). On the Annual Plan itself, we would especially appreciate hearing from you on the following 3 topics:
|
1. How well does the annual plan align with other efforts and priorities happening across the movement, particularly in regard to the movement strategy recommendations?
[edit]2. Does the way the plan is communicated resonate with you?
[edit]- Obviously not. Publishing it 6 months later than usual makes it useless. Also, it's no longer a plan but just a summary of a plan, while the actual plan is left secret. Even WMF employees often don't know what the plan is for a team or division other than their own, as if WMF were a giant conglomerate à la General Electric. Nemo 08:50, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
