Is there any update on this? –SJ talk 00:26, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- SJ, not that I am aware of. What you see here is the result of a brainstorming process; the tasks are closely linked to the purpose of the association as defined in the Charter. Since end of October, we moved our focus on the more administrative issues (legal incorporation, finding a Secretary-General). PS: I moved the Tasks page to Tasks (Brainstorming). --Mglaser (talk) 14:30, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you. The move makes that clearer, though it still seems necessary to work on the tasks that the association will actually tackle. That part of the Work Plan seemed to me to be highly important. –SJ talk 09:51, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
- I like the recent updates and suggestions made here by ThurnerRupert and Chandres. It would be interesting to see from each part of the movement what support and tasks they have wished for, or run locally, over the past year. (I could try to contribute some similar thoughts form the perspective of an individual, or that of the WMF, but it feels like this page isn't set up for input from those groups; perhaps we could also use a general Wikimedia movement/Tasks (Brainstorming) page.) –SJ talk 07:24, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
- SJ, I don't believe there was any intention to exclude individuals or the WMF from generating ideas. Please do add them, don't feel you have to stand on ceremony ;-) I have taken the initiative to change the "supporting chapters" column to "supporting organization" so this is more welcoming; you can leave this blank if you are just representing yourself. Thanks for the modification Fae, it could be really helpful if a native english speaker could help by rewording this aspact, IMHO we should have column to indicate, who think the point is important, who think they would benefit of it and who think they could help to accomplish the task. --Charles Andrès (WMCH) 12:55, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
- No worries Charles, I'll try to remember to get back and review this page properly when I have recovered from this busy week! After our Sunday workshop, I expect the results of some of our face to face brainstorming to help populate this page, and we will have a think about setting priorities. In Agile terms, this may become our backlog for future reference, though I would want to keep it relatively simple to avoid too much clutter being distracting; any major item that spawns its own project could be broken out into a detailed sub-page that can work as a project briefing note.
