For your chapter status application, there are some general questions we ask every candidate. I hope you can find some time to answer them. • Who are the people behind this application?

  The persons mentioned under the signatories section of our Memorandum of Association are the persons who are currently working actively to form this chapter. However the people behind this applications are mentioned here.   • How many?

  • Any prominent Wiki[pm]edians?

  We have Wiki(p|m)edians who are active and well known in the local community. Most of the people, who are working actively to form the chapter are very active in the community (both in on-wiki and off-wiki activities).   • Active in which communities if any?

  Most of the interested persons are active in Bengali Wikipedia and other Bengali projects, but some of them are also active or semi-active in English Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Meta-Wiki etc. — [ Tanvir | Talk ] 16:31, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

• Could you give a short overview of the time path of the founding up to now?

  This is not the first attempt to establish the Bangladesh chapter. We tried to form the chapter in past. Back in 2009, in we tried to form the chapter but unfortunately that effort didn't work out. In past 9 months, we arranged around 7 workshops and 5 outreach events in three major cities (Dhaka, Chittagong, and Rajshahi) of Bangladesh. We faced the lack of an official identity pretty much in arranging those events. So, after the Wikipedia 10 celebration we have planned to make another attempt to form the chapter. Because we realized chapter will help to promote Wikimedia in Bangladesh more systematically and efficiently. • Have there been any activities/meetings etc of this group of people?

• What kind of activities are planned for the future in the chapter?

  We are planning to go through massive promotional activities all over the Bangladesh to let people know about Wikipedia and Wikimedia. To do so, we have a plan to initiate campus program in 29 public universities of Bangladesh and also in college levels. — [ Tanvir | Talk ] 16:31, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

• Do you have an overview of how many Wikimedians would like to join the chapter when founded?
