Talk:Wikimania 2012/CentralNotice
Add topicPlease make proofreading process mandatory
[edit]I was checking Wikimania 2010 and 2011 central notice banners that I noticed the Persian translations had not been done perfectly. In fact, there was a serious mistake in "Scholarship applications for Wikimania 2010 are now open." translation in Persian that had completely changed its meaning. The mentioned sentence had been translated in Persian as "You can help us in providing expenses of Wikimania 2010" that seems like a fundraiser banner! AMERICOPHILE 09:06, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
Request link to previous years' translations
[edit]Could someone please provide a link to the translations for the Wikimania central notice completed in previous years, which would save time on this year's translations. I tried searching for this but all I got to was the closed translation request. Lloffiwr 13:00, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
- You will find those here, but it has been changed a lot. — [ Tanvir | Talk ] 13:06, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

mk Ready
[edit]Could you publish mk (Macedonian)? It's all done and ready. Thanks --B. Jankuloski (talk) 00:00, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
- Done. Thank you for translating. Cheers. Aude (talk) 00:28, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot! What is happening with the 'Scholarships' part. It isn't published yet. Is there an issue with it? It seems urgent to me, as it is the most important of all (namely, to apply for them). Cheers --B. Jankuloski (talk) 23:48, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
- We already ran the scholarships in February. But the translations can be re-used next year (with minor changes). We've yet to do registration notices. Cheers. Aude (talk) 02:47, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
