Add topic@Benipal hardarshan: thank you for this proposal.
As your proposal is about providing "how to" instructions for new Wikisource contributors, does this information exist in other languages already - and you will translate it - or are you starting from the very beginning with creating training documentation? I am aware of Beginner's guide to Wikisource in English. Is your intention to translate some of these modules into Punjabi? Or, are you proposing to make a new set of best-practice documentation that other languages can translate their training from (potentially to replace that 'beginners guide')? @LWyatt (WMF): Yes, it already exists in different languages but we will be starting from the beginning to make it as simple as possible for our contributors. We will be creating a different beginner's guide especially for the Indian context that other languages can translate for sure.
Our intention is to make it as simple as possible for our contributors to contribute to Wikisource. This would include steps like typing in local languages, using specific templates that are used, installing necessary gadgets and scripts. We will also include Wikisource Pagelist Widget and creation of author pages and linking them with Wikidata.
Beginner's guide is quite complicated and translating it will not will not solve the problems of our contributors.--*β’.ΒΈβ‘ βππ£πππ£π€πππ πΉππππ‘ππ β‘ΒΈ.β’*ππππ 14:50, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
