No! A big, flat out no. Wikimedia Foundation are for free knowledge, not polls. I don't see how "anyone can edit" is special for a thing like polls. Also, a true democracy does not "vote on consensus". Ionas68224 07:00, 15 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oppose - per Ionas68224. I don't think we need a everyone can edit poll. Hirohisat 06:37, 7 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but Oppose, the entire idea of the Wikimedia foundation is for free knowledge, not polls, also Wikimedia is NOT a place to test democracy!--Kushan I.A.K.J 07:39, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pro is inportant to exchange political and economical system with something different. because in this moment world is in war (in Italy I listen to war's publicize on radio) and my cousin don't find any games without competition in it. Anybody have from competition but we learn it in scholl and in television. The future will be different if WE choose. Theres all for everybody if everybody can do for everybody, dead doesn't work. the vote isn't important but choose is. have a different reference point that isn't law i think is important and wiki can become a reference point.

Rethink I got a better idea on how to do it, than it seems to be about here. It's not a focus on the polls (which could be tempered as said here), but rather about the public discourse and decicion making. As Aristotle said: We can't have direct democracy with ignorant people and without the Internet as a necessity. :) If you're still active, please contact me on the e-mail address. t e i t e p o s t a d r e s s e ( at) hotmail. com Sda030 18:22, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Pro Direct democratia is in direct line with "The Wikimedia Foundation's stated goal is to develop and maintain open content, wiki-based projects and to provide the full contents of those projects to the public free of charge." Democratia is a work on progress base on the same principle. There is no contradiction using wikimedia base with some modifications to be use in the public interest. 80% of people agree on previous vote here: International Referendum about new democratia necessity. Let's doing it! Please contact me true this web site to be a volunteer and invite all your friends. --Qualitas1 04:59, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
