The right place of Thesis, IMHO, is wikisource. Such works are "definite", can be referenced exactly (even if they are not "published"), and their content can't be cooperatively edited. It.source hosts some thesis, the only troubles are:

  1. does the author own all the rights on the work? can he release his work under any licence?
  2. is all its content used with sufficient care about other's rights? (I refused an interesting thesis because it contained many pictures, and some text downloaded from websites that I know that are not released under a liberal licence).

But a thesis could be used too as a "primer" for a cohoperative work, editing and expanding it; in such case, I presume that Wikibooks is the right place to develop it. --Alex brollo 12:16, 2 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
