Regarding trainers

[edit]

I want a clarification. I belong to Karavali Wikimedians User Group. In fact, I am one of the founders. I would like to apply as Trainer. But I am not a Woman. Am I eligible to apply?-Pavanaja (talk) 13:36, 2 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Pavanaja As we have specified on the meta page, the camp is an exclusive space for everyone who identifies as a woman. The criteria applies to all extended seats including scholarships, trainers and affiliate representatives. Regards-WWC2023 (talk) 17:00, 3 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@WWC2023 Thanks for the clarification. Since there are two men among the Organisers, I thought, the restriction of women is only for participants whereas organisers and trainers can have men.-Pavanaja (talk) 10:50, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Pavanaja, Female trainers can provide a relatable and empathetic approach, making it easier for participants to connect and engage actively in the sessions. With this women camp, our intention is not only to provide capacity development support to women, but also to identify the existing capacities by bringing them in as trainers. By having a diverse organizing team and female trainers, we aim to strike a balance that promotes collaboration, inclusivity, and a supportive atmosphere for everyone involved. Thanks for your interest. You can reach out to our regional engagement lead, @Nitesh to support any regional engagement. Thank You!-WWC2023 (talk) 05:02, 5 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Pavanaja:, confusion arises because in scholarship Google form had both options for gender Man and women -J. Ansari Talk 18:39, 5 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
The reason of offering the gender options was to practice inclusivity for all cis/trans gender individuals.-WWC2023 (talk) 14:00, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
