In Chinland, nearly half of the population is spoken Hakha-Chin language. Being Hakha is the capital of Chin Stat, Burma, it is commonly spoken by the people. The Lai (Hakha-Chin) is spoken in Hakha Township, Thantlang Township, Matupi Township and other places in Mizoram. The Chin peoples from across the world are all familiar with Hakha-Chin language. Hakha-Chin (Lai) is one of the approved language to be taught in Victoria Languages School in Australia.
